Hi Mickey,
Congratulations on reaching 20 months without a drink. I always admired my dad when he quit drinking cold turkey back in about 1966.
If your tour of the country brings you to either the Chicago or Milwaukee area, I'd love to meet you and maybe have lunch or dinner with you... I'm halfway between the two of them but can manage to get to either as well.
I planned to move to the sunny southwest where it never ever snows but a brutal health issue made that impossible so I'm stuck here in Wisconsin. Ah well, so it goes.

The end of this month will mark 20 months since I had a drink. I was told how hard it would be but the truth is it wasn't hard at all. I've always been able to do what I put my mind to. I want to revise an answer I gave in my last GWAE interview. I said I succeeded in gambling despite my alcoholism. Yes, I succeeded to a certain extent but not as well as I would have if the booze wasn't a factor. I was a binge drinker and the hangovers would put me out of commission for at least three days. I lost a ton in productivity. And I threw a ton of money over the bartops. Bartenders and bar owners were my favorite charities. So even though I achieved a level of success it was nowhere close to what it should have been.
When I quit drinking I came out of my Montana cocoon and have been exploring the casinos of America. Video Poker is very little of what I do anymore. There has been a resurgence of accumulator slots in the past two years. I used to call them advantage slots but I think accumulator slots is more descriptive. I picked the term up off a video game designer.
Anyways, these new exploitable games can be found from west coast to east coast. They are in every market. I'm having quite a bit of fun analyzing and playing them for profit. There are people that don't want me spilling the beans on them. But I think I can put up a play or two as time permits.
I still go home to Montana and do my thing there. But I think I've officially reached snowbird status. The southern climes in the winter are so much more enjoyable than the brutal Montana winters. No snow shoveling? Who'd a thunk it?
