[vpFREE] Re: Boyd tier conversion

Thank you for the helpful information.  A friend of mine put in $200 coin-in on a 7-5 Bonus Poker machine, just to test out the tier credits he would receive.  He received 8 total.  Which by your equations it sounds right.  Except I think he was supposed to get 2X for being Ruby.  Did they forget, or did they give him 4 credits for his play and doubled it?

Of course, he got nothing as for b-connected points.  What kind of a crazy person thought this was a good way to market?  "Hi, welcome to Boyd, we will start you off as Ruby, and you'll get no points.  Enjoy your stay."

"Sounds to me like Boyd is re-thinking those conversion rates and possibly those tier countdowns. Hopefully someone will check them."

I have been checking how much coin-in it has taken to earn tier credits every time I have played at a Boyd casino since the late August changes. The rates on 8/5 BP and NSUD have agreed every time with the rates previously posted here.

99.17% BP = 0.50 / (1-99.17%) = $60 coin-in per tier credit
99.73% NSUD = 0.50 / (1-99.73%) = $185 coin-in per tier credit
