[vpFREE] Re: Stations Point System

I learned about Stations new "cheap trick" the same way you did.... by paying attention to ALL the point balances displayed on the kiosks.  I would take a picture of the detailed points screen after every day's play and analyze it at home.  I didn't bother to ask at the slot booth because I suspected that no staff there would be able to answer such a detailed question.

Bottom line is that it seems like the "points" awarded through the kiosk games are for comps only.

I just recently learned that points you get on kiosk games and for other prize-type activities rather than actual play on casino games are not eligible for cashback/free play; they can just be used for comps.  I noticed this when I saw my account on the kiosk and my comp-only point balance is growing at a faster rate than my CB/free play balance.  Is this a recent change or a detail that I wasn't aware of since I hadn't played Stations for a long time before the Palms became a Station?

As I "preach" constantly, I took my own advice and went to the players club desk and asked for written details about their club.  Talk about fine print - I was given a folder with FOUR pages of print so small I finally had to look for my trusty magnifying glass!!

It took me awhile to see where that detail I was puzzled about was explained.  Details galore but not much detail about this.  On page 3, item #7 merely says this:  "Point grants and point adjustments are not eligible for slot/bingo pay and cash back redemption.  #6 was clearer on one important point:  "Points earned by using point days or point multipliers are eligible for slot/bingo play and cash back redemption.

Am I just losing it in my old age - or is this not clear?  My only defense is that I have talked to some other very skilled and knowledgeable players and they did not know this either.  Their comments:  "Hummmmm…those kiosk games aren't as valuable as I thought!!!!"
