Boyd doesn't seem as concerned about full paytable VP as most other casino operators as long as it doesn't exceed 100% payback. On those games they generally reduce the points by half. They also don't generally offer demons above $1. Many if not most of their current properties offer some version of fullpay VP. So my guess is they will keep the few 9/6-8/5 machines currently at Ameristar-St Louis.
I'm more interested is seeing if they do anything with the VP inventory at the current Ameristar-KC. I think it is somewhat unlikely they would improve paytables that are already there and being played with abandon, but if they did offer some 9/6 Jacks or 8/5 Bonus fullpay they would have the only playable VP in the city. Which I'm sure would generate some interest.
