You probably saw the 9/6 games listed in VPFree2. They are uprights on the second floor towards one end close to a bar. Ameristar has a lot of different restaurant options. When they had a Bugatti's at the Ameristar in Kansas City, that was our favorite. The coffee shop has some good breakfast options. Their buffet is good in Kansas City, but I've never tried it in St. Louis.
Across to river at Hollywood you have a lot more full pay options in addition to 9/6 Jacks. They have a bank of slant tops with 8/6 Bonus with 175 coins for all quads that is 99.66% return. It has 9/6 Jacks also. There are a couple of circle uprights with an number of higher variance full paytable games.
The Charlie Gitto's at Hollywood is excellent. The steakhouse is, well, a steakhouse. Nothing special. The Hollywood buffet is definitely one to miss. Both the asian place in the casino and the sports bar close to the front door are acceptable. The grill inside the casino is not so great.
