Another idea to visit the Grand Canyon is to take the train from Williams AZ.
You stay over night at the hotel next to the train station. They have various packages.
We did a package with 1st night at Williams, 2nd night at a GC lodge, 3rd night back at Williams. Most meals were included. Two blocks from the Williams hotel is the Route 66 tourist experience.

Hi allI will be doing Vegas late fall. As reminder, i usually stay 12 days+. Always look for tourist things.
I'm thinking about going to Grand Canyon. Looking over the rim of canyon on mybucket list. How long would it take to drive from Vegas? Is it worth the time? Whats there to do?
Thought about area 51 also. But, I'd guess nothing there? Always looking for unique things tosee or do.
Cheers....Jeep
