Playing just 3 lines on Spin Poker has lower variance than Triple Play VP because of what is called the "effect of removal". Because only one deck is involved in the Spin Poker game you have slightly better odds of completing your draws.
As you play more and more lines of Spin Poker your variance goes up considerably. There is a price to be paid for being able to catch 9 Royals on Spin Poker Deluxe. 5 Line Spin Poker has more variance than 5 Play Video Poker because of the overlapping paylines. 3 Line Spinpoker has no overlap.
