Any consumer of American TV knows that it's "THRILL OF VICTORY, AGONY OF DEFEAT". When the casinos make it "agony of victory" by punishing gamblers for getting lucky and hitting a big jackpot, they screw it up, big time, for themselves and the business as a whole, they tarnish gambling as an industry. "Agony of victory" or the practice of punishing winners is communism and we all know how well that worked out. If the casinos insist on punishing someone, they should punish the losers, who are sort of expecting to be punished anyway, for losing. Gambling is both, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, when casinos make victory an agony they are corrupting the entire system. Casinos make money by raking the overall action, not by punishing winners. Even the three card monty hustlers on the street know you have to let the customer win sometimes if you want to keep their action going.
