[vpFREE] Re: [harrahscasinos] Re: New Orleans Minimums

I think this program is news to many of us because we haven't played in a casino that offers it.  Glad you described it so we will understand it if/when we do hit a casino that does offer it.

Nobody is "upsetting players". . .it's a way for Caesars to reward players for their play -- as long as they play enough to earn 75 tier credits in a gaming day.

Return Rewards is a "bounceback"/"cashback" program in effect at, among other locations, Harrah's New Orleans, Harrah's Gulf Coast, Horseshoe Baltimore and Harrah's Philadelphia. Once you earn 75 tier credits in a gaming day, you begin to accrue free play to use on a future visit.  At 75 tier credits you might earn around $10 which generally is available to you about 72 hours after you play.  It's good anywhere from two to four weeks after you're notified -- which often times you aren't. More frequent players seem to have less time to use the free play than less frequent players who get more time.

You're supposed to get an email once you qualify for Return Rewards, but, on a number of occasions, my email never arrived; however,I know enough from experience when I have Return Rewards. You also can check your account online. Return Rewards (but not the amount) will show up on your My TR page of the TotalRewards.com website.

The downside to this program is for those who travel, let's say to New Orleans, earn 75 or more tier credits, but return home about the time the Return Rewards go into effect, thus losing those slot dollars.

In my opinion, MGM (Mlife) has the best cashback program.  You can use it as you earn it, or, use it later at any MGM property. And, depending on your tier status, it can be good for anywhere between six months to a year.
