The Sunday brunch buffet at Borgata begins at 8 a.m., not 11 a.m.
On weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), the Amphora Lounge opens at 11 a.m.,
serves brunch until 2 p.m., then remains open until 10 p.m. Saturday and 9
p.m. Sunday. It closes at 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 p.m.
Friday. You can walk in as late as five minutes before closing, and still
find a pretty good selection of food for another 30 minutes after the
official closing time, but liquor service ends about 15 minutes before the
posted closing. (You may find a friendly server who is willing to bring
you a drink from the bar if it's not closed up.)
Unlike the Caesars Seven Stars and Diamond Lounges, they don't deny
admission 30 minutes before closing and kick you out immediately at closing
time.
In my opinion, compared to any other players club lounge, Amphora is by far
the best and the only one I would even consider for a leisurely dinner.
Borgata's buffet also is the best in town, as far as I'm concerned, but,
keep in mind, as we get further "out of season" the buffet will be closed
on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
