I did get a host last week, so maybe I can see if he can find out. I just left him a message. The only other games listed at the Tropicana Atlantic City are $5 DDB at 98.98% and something called LV Airport/Illinois Deuces on a $5 machine at 98.91%. $5 and even $2 is too much for me, and anything under 99.5% is just not worth playing.
Either way, I'm still going at the end of the month and getting my comped room at the Tropicana. If they don't have this game, I'll collect my free play of $50/day for 3 days on 8/5 JOB, and perhaps play 9/6 Jacks or Better at the Borgata, That's fine if I no longer have a host and can't get any more comped rooms there. I'm not going to incur big losses playing inferior games just to get a comped room, and if I have to substantially cut back on my gambling as a result, that's probably better for me personally because I have a lot of other things that I'd like to get done anyway.
Apparently my Tropicana gold card is good through the end of next year and comes with a free cruise. I already have a free cruise from the Taj Mahal (technically it will be about $300 with taxes and gratuities) and am taking my older nephew. I wanted to take my younger nephew because the older one already has been on cruises to Europe through his school, but due to timing I couldn't take him. So now, if the Taj Mahal cruise in May is a success (meaning I don't get too seasick), I can take my younger nephew on the Tropicana cruise later in the summer before he starts college. So if nothing else comes out of this, hopefully I'll get a free or very cheap cruise and get to take my other nephew on a cruise.
Funny thing is, the Tropicana also transferred over my $155.87 in comps from the Trump Taj Mahal, even though it was all already redeemed for slot play, most of it several weeks prior. Shows that the casinos are both greedy and incompetently managed. Usually their incompetence hurts me, so for once I'm benefiting from it. If anyone is in Atlantic City and has a Taj Mahal Chairman Card, they are giving a Gold Card and $50/day in free play through October. Not sure if they have the same deal for Total Rewards Diamond Card holders.
