We found the free cruise offer takes about $1,000 off of the price of your
cruise. If you don't upgrade, eat the meals provided in the package, only
get booze from the casino bar (which is comped via your offer), and gamble
at low stakes table games the cruise total is about $1,200. Anything else
you do will add to the cost (ie: transportation to/from the port, hotel
prior/after the cruise, specialty meals, drinks, room upgrades,
shopping/gambling, excursions, ship activities such as bingo, art auctions,
wine tastings, etc.
Since we keep our cruise as cheap as possible it comes out to them comping
about 1/2 the cost and so it is a good deal.
