Three of us went to a press conference for the new attraction at TI. Unfortunately we were repulsed instead of attracted. It is not a ride, there are no costumed characters, and there wasn't even a place to sit down as you walked through what was essentially a small museum about the origin of Marvel's Avengers characters, focusing on Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. There was a lot of explanatory information posted, that was small and after awhile boring to read, some actual costumes from the shows, A few video clips, and some displays. But we thought that most children would be totally bored, and only adults who were totally fascinated with the avengers would enjoy this (but they also might be bored, because they already knew A lot of the information). The attraction is called interactive because you were given headsets and what is basically a camera, and as you go around the exhibits you can listen to some commentary and take photos (as they 'train' you To be a STATION Agent by answering questions), at the end you are told you have now passed the test if you have answered the questions correctly, or even if you haven't, and you receive a certificate that you are now a Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligent Operation Network (STATION) Agent.
You get your picture put into a montage of avengers characters via green screen. Price is $34, and I guarantee you will have more fun if you use that money to buy or rent any of the avengers movies, or go ride the High Roller in Vegas.
As for the press event, the shrimp was good.
