That number you came up with matches my calculations. I don't think the author was joking.
Speaking for myself only, I know that in my own case it is the small things that drive me away from a casino,
although it usually takes a number of them to trip my go away response. This one item with the free play is in itself inconsequential, but it does speak to the bigger picture of a casino doing progressively more small things
to get a bigger edge on players. If you look at all of the things that Sam's Town has done over the past few years, you will come up with a long list of items that taken individually are pretty minor, but if you add them up it comes to a significant impact.

For the author of the original posting this may have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

Wait is someone seriously THAT pissed off that playing free-play doesn't earn points? Maybe I'm missing something here... If I'm not mistaken, 0.3% of $100 is $0.30, right? This HAS to be a joke.
