As much as I hate to disagree with Mr. Dancer there are a number of casinos where I play that have better games than the South Point and they also have better comps and equivalent cash back, and far superior mail offers, speaking strictly as an out of towner of course. As I've stated before I agree with the statement that their overall average payback is highest, but for out of towners their benefits are well below average.
Therefore to state looser overall, is an accurate statement, but that was not what was said in the original article.

A.P.

Speaking of loose video poker, does South Point have 8-5 Super Aces or 15-11 Deuces? I don't think so, so there goes the "loosest video poker" claim.
Okay. It comes down to definition. Yes there are casinos with a few higher paying games. There are some 100% games in town --- where you basically get no benefits if you play them.
I believe that the average hold on video poker games is lower at South Point than anywhere else. I believe the combination of game return + slot club + promotions + mailer is very competitive there. If you're a single line quarter player who plays FPDW with extremely few benefits, you can do better elsewhere. For many other players, South Point is better.
Can you find good deals elsewhere as well? Of course. No casino can possibly afford to be loosest in every single category. They have to make their money somewhere. But just because you can find a casino with a few looser games (and a whole lot of tighter games) doesn't shake me from my conviction that the South Point is looser overall than other casinos.
