I'm not writing about the past. I review the current club and provide the
info. If I find some positives about the place (i.e. good food, good vp,
good club rate, etc) I will mention those, but generally try to remain
neutral and objective. Btw, I do not write the headlines that accompany the
article that often sounds very complimentary.

I don't think Ellis deserves to get a nice writeup in your column. They made
some pretty drastic changes to their club about a year ago and it was not
for the better. Plus, what happened to all the freeplay that people had
earned before the changes were made? I don't know how to say it politely
except it was a dirty move on management's part. And if you look at their
website they still brag about their rewards for best slot club from 2008 and
2012, but that is deceptive and disingenuous because it is now a completely
different slot club, again, for the worse. They need to take that "bragging"
off of their website. They know it, I know it, everyone knows it. Very
misleading and not trustworthy.

For all of the above, I feel you should have just skipped them in your list
of clubs to cover. They don't deserve a good writeup after the way they
treated their longtime players. So if you can't write a truthful and
negative review about them, then just give them the silent treatment. If you
don't tell the whole story, then it takes away from the credibility of this
column.
