In their January mailer, the Majestic Star touts more video poker with higher payouts coming.The changes for the Majestic Star 2 have occurred and are in progress for the Majestic Star 1.As for higher payouts that is at best debatable!
The two carousels + the 2 non-smoking machines with 20-10-6-5 joker 2 pair, NSUD and other games have been replaced with new igt product.It looks like both the above mentioned games are gone. (NSUD still on one $5 machine.) 9-5 TB+ survives (see database).
The leftmost carousel + the two related non-smoking have only normal single line + the 99.24% version of "pick a pair" (IGT's version of pickem).All 98.98%+ games from this bank have been added to the database.
The other carousel has not only eighteen "classical" games but also three pick a pair games, atomic fever, royal deal, dice fiver and fast fours (similar to quick quads with J=11,Q=12 and K=13.)
I have updated the database for the "classical" games, pick a pair, atomic fever and royal deal. I have seen wizardofodds analysis for dice fever so the next time I am there, I will see if there are any 99%+ version of dice fever. I have no clue as to the return of fast fours.
Many of the so-called "classical" games are unusual too. I have EVs for all of them except the deuces DDB game.Vpree2 does not have the return tables for many of these games. Triple Triple Bonus 99.7516%, Straight Flush Deluxe 99.1199% and DDB Pick a Pair 99.0819% are 99%+.(All percentages using the wizardofodds program.) I have no clue how to analyze the deuces DDB game. For now only the other 99% games are included in the database.
The above machines are now $20 per point instead of $35. Only seems to matter for tier level as it looks like their comps are "theo" based.
I have indicated the six games on the MS1 that include NSUD as MIA.
