Don't forget that it's not the casino taking this action --- it's the current managers (of a certain level) who are making this decisions. Managers come in all stripes --- as players do. Do not assume that every management decision is well thought out.

All in all, this "incompetent managers" explanation is what gives us our ADVANTAGE. Yes it sometimes bites certain players (as it did in this particular case --- and it has for many of us over the years), but it also explains some promotions where a casino is illogically giving away the store.

If all managers were extremely bright and competent, video poker opportunities might very well be non-existent.
