As an odd side story:
I recall many years ago, that LVH refused to pay checks for any jackpot under $5000. After hitting several RFs, I requested a check, but they refused.
My mother was with me on the trip, and got pretty creative. She'd had a mastectomy, but not reconstructive surgery. She removed her prosthesis, replaced it with the cash, and kept my money well protected for the trip home ;-)
