Have not seen you around in forever, Scot. Where the hell you been playing?
Point taken about the promotion, but not the main one that I wanted to make
in this post. However, since you are giving me a sort of my own spoiler
alert on something that I had saved for my Blundering Boyd Brilliance
messages, I will touch on this big promotion. The rules are posted online
at all four B-DIS-connected casinos' websites under the title of "2015 Boyd
Gaming 40th Year Anniversary Rules". Here is rule #5 as it is still posted
as of today online:

"5. Participants may earn entries into the virtual Drawing at any of the
four (4) participating properties beginning at 3:00 a.m. July 27, 2015 and
ending September 5, 2015 at 4:45 p.m. Entries earned during this period will
be eligible for the Boyd Gaming Grand Prize Drawing. Please see the Boyd
Gaming 40th Year Anniversary Celebration rules for details on the Boyd
Gaming Grand Prize Drawing. "
This is a similar name as the rules we are reading but no club rep. knew of
any such second set of rules. No amount of Googling on my part could
produce one either, so the rules are in essence referring to a second set of
rules that don't exist.

First of all, you will notice that you could start earning entries for this
promotion on Monday, July 27th, but these rules did not make it to the
website until Wednesday July 29th. We found out later that we could have
gotten up to 40 additional free entries on that Monday and Tuesday, the 27th
and 28th by swiping at the kiosk after earning 4 points. Had our crystal
ball not have been broken, we would have indeed swiped for these extra
tickets. Well after we were aware of this little extra, we were instructed
by a club rep. that any questions about this promotion had to be taken up
with the Director of Marketing at Sam's Town. So, all the signs you see at
all of the Boyd properties that say "see club for complete details" must not
quite be correct. Since I have had fruitless and wasteful dealings with
this director before and did not want to allocate that much of my remaining
time on this planet in what I knew was wasting time, my better half
volunteered for the duty. In what turned out to be more than a half hour of
useless questions and non answers, we felt more like Sgt. Schultz from
Hogan's Heroes than we did before she went up to the directors office. Of
course a big chunk of the time my brave spouse was there was spent trying to
convince the director that we do not get 40 free entries to this promo every
day that we play, as said director indicated to Ms. Nudge several times
while said director was feverishly paging back and forth through a copy of
the August mailer to try and prove that her incorrect statement of always 40
tickets was correct. She failed. My wife finally convinced the director
that what the wording in the actual mailer said was the phrase "up to 40
tickets", and also mentioned that just before taking the escalator up to the
director's office, she swiped both our cards and I got 10 tickets and Ms.
Nudge received 15. The director said that she would be getting back to us
regarding the tickets that we did not get on that Mon. and Tue. , and two
drawings done as well as half of the month, we have not heard back from the
director. Proofreading seems to be a lost art in the 21st century of
progress in the casino business. By the way, some of you locals might think
that the big drawing is with the four properties, but it is among all 18 of
the Boyd properties. You will also need a pristine crystal ball to really
discern how the four representatives from each of the 18 properties are
chosen. Regardless, good luck to all of you who enter.

One reason for fewer bonus point days for all properties this month is
because of their 40th anniversary drawings and promotions.
