RE: [vpFREE] Re: Any precedent on losing points/comps?

I seem to recall this happening to me too at Boyd. I forget exactly what it was, but maybe one of their holiday multiplier days but my points at the kiosk were much higher than they should have been. When I put my card in a machine they showed the correct value the entire time though. A day or two later at the kiosk my points were normal again. I never thought to complain to anyone about it, nor would I.

I guess the situation I'm describing is more complicated. For example, a machine will say something like this:

100 countdown to go
0 points currently earned

Then you play $2.50 worth and it will say

50 countdown to go
2 points currently earned

What if you found a machine that was not set to 50 countdown so initially it says

50 countdown to go
0 points currently earned

And then after you play $2.50 worth, it says

50 countdown to go
5 points currently earned

Would you have an argument with the casino/NGC if you played the latter machine (and the casino later cut your points in half) because it clearly says from the beginning how much it takes to get a point?

That reminds me of when the Tuscany was giving 16x points. It might

have been when they switched from 10x points to 7x points. They took

back 9x of the 16x. It was done electronically. I don't know what

the Gaming Commission would have done if anyone had challenged it.
