One of the old time slot cheats told me about a skipper in the Pioneer/Laughlin. It was a very old 9/6 Jacks video poker machine. It was so old that you had to hand feed every time. When you hit a pay hand the machine dropped the quarters. There was no credit meter on the machine. I figured it was probably one of the original video poker machines.
I bought a few rolls of quarters and set down on the machine. The object was to fast feed 4 coins into the machine. By doing that, about every three games, I would get a 5 coin bet for just four coins. So, essentially, per every three games I was getting 15 coins of bet for just 14 coins. This put the game at about 106%.
But the problem I had with it was all the hand feeding. Grabbing coins and fast feeding them every time. Whenever I hit a pay hand I had to wait for the coins to drop. So I couldn't get out any kind of decent wager per hour and said the heck with it.
