I think I've stumbled onto some fascinating history about old time machine pros that my generation knew nothing about, the rythm players. I found it in an eBook novel called The Queen Of Chance: Story of a Lady Gambler. The author' name is Jackie T. Shirley. Shirley's biographical sketch is he was a professional stud player in Vegas until the poker boom. I know personally that the poker boom snuffed out the stud games. He went to dealing poker after that and he looks awfully familiar in his picture on Amazon. When he retired he went to writing novels. This novel is about a young lady who went to Vegas in 1976 and. became a professional blackjack player. Then she became a rythm player player on the slots. The author, Mr. Shirley describes the learning process the heroine went through to become a professional slot (rythm) player. I can tell you that Jackie Shirley knows way to much about the science to not have been a rythm player himself. It was an in-depth science with lots of applied mathematics. It was some of the most brilliant strategic gambling I have ever seen.
