[vpFREE] An Advantage License Plate

Nevada is a state where the typical license plate number is
in the format 123 ABC. Vanity plates are available --- subject to certain
limits --- for an additional charge.

Last night, in a casino parking lot, I saw the license plate
728 NSU. Most people on this forum know that NSU Deuces Wild has a return of
99.728%, so it's easy to speculate that when they were passing out the NSU
plates, a video poker player decided that 728 was a "meaningful numerical
prefix."

Could the 728 NSU plate have been assigned at random? I
suppose. But a person who would seek out such a plate would likely go to
casinos. And this was a casino parking lot (in the VIP section) where I saw it.

Using Bayes Theorem, I conclude that very probably this
plate belongs to a player --- possibly one who hangs out here on occasion. (I
suppose I could have staked out the car to see if I knew who drives that car,
but it wasn't that important to me.)

Getting a vanity plate without paying for it strikes me as
an advantage play. Well done!
