Bob nailed this in my opinion. Although my wife and I don't play for the same stakes as he does having access to interest free loans is very attractive to us. We have one credit card and it gets paid in full automatically every month We have used casino credit for 18 years for the same reasons Bob sets out. Two additional points: when we hit RF at our level, with outstanding marker(s) the casino gets paid, no questions asked. Second, I am the member of our team with discipline. My wife, who plays longer, harder and more successfully than I do, has never and will never have a line of credit at a casino. She came close once at Bellagio, but with the LOC approved, the papers prepared, she said no, I don't want direct access to this kind of money.
In short , if you are financially disciplined and pay your debts in a responsible manner, a lie of credit is appropriate
