Interesting article (historically) but not very useful. I once had a geometry teacher that claimed Pythagorus was just in the right place at the right time and that his theory (a**2 + b**2 = c**2) was so easy to prove that if he had been around in Pythagorus time the theorem would have been named for him. He may have been right.
