Not Spam.Good info.CoachVee provides many contributions to this site.

I rarely post on this site but read the digest daily but I'm going to chime in here. In the last 6 months CoachVee has had a total of 13 posts on vpFREE. They are as follows:

1 - Telling us about a promotion at Resorts Atlantic City
1 - Asking for host information at Harrah's Baltimore
1 - About Poker
2 - Promoting Belmont Stakes picks on his website and bragging about his great picks in the Preakness
8 - Promoting his book

I don't consider that being much of a contribution to the site. I now would consider his posts spam but, that's just my opinion.

In the past he did post trip reports frequently. I read every one of them when he would post them. Amazingly he always had great fortune in those trip reports but never posted a report where they lost. I found it rather odd since their game of choice is 9/6 DDB. I later found out from another member of this group (who shall remain nameless) that they were in AC almost every weekend but he only posted a report about once every month. Admittedly, Coach posted one time that he only wrote reports when he won. I forget the reason but it was something about not wanting to bring people down by writing about losing. Don't quote me on that though. I'm too lazy to dig through all vpFREE to find it. That's his choice and I accepted that. Lots of people only post winning trip reports not only here but on other message boards as well. While it's more of a contribution to the group than shamelessly over promoting a book, I find it a disservice when people only post winning trip reports and don't consider it much of a contribution at all. Again, this is my opinion.

I have no problem with anyone promoting their products but, when more than 3/4 of their posts in the last 6 months are self promotion, they aren't contributing to the group anymore.

With that said, there's also a frugal poster on this site that never misses a chance to promote their products or cull information from the group for profit but, no one seems to call this poster out as a spammer. If one person is going to get called out as a spammer, then all spammers should be called out. It's only fair!
