RE: [vpFREE] Bob Dancer's LVA - 18 NOV 2014

Why must I disagree with NOTI again? Bob Dancer was totally correct in playing max ev. Who knows what the casino thinks? Bob is well financed and he was playing within his bankroll. What do you tell the CEO - the truth, he got lucky. Using your min royal strategy he would most likely have won more money (not counting his royal). It is also very likely that he would not have hit his royal. Just a guess on my part but by using your min royal strategy he would have lost at least $95,000 and "maybe" gotten some offers worth a few thousand before he used them up. No one can win with a min royal strategy consistently because after the first big play his next play would be considerably less action in order to still have positive expectation. I am quite sure Bob is happy with his max ev play (if a play is going to end when a royal is hit, it might as well be him). If you're not well financed to play the game you are probably better off playing max ev with positive expectation than playing a negative expectation and hoping the casino gives you great offers. Also a casino still might keep the game even with your royal hit. Keep it simple and go for max ev instead of using esoteric strategies that may not work.
