I suspect there are active forums for smoking discussions, but

When I was there a few days ago they had $25 and $100 NSUD and 8/5/35 BP (99.66%) only on four of the machines in the high limit room. Anyone know if they are still there? At the time, I figured they were a trap.

[vpFREE] XVP - Discuss the undiscussable

 

Hi all,


Long-time listener, first-time caller. I generally avoid casinos due to air-quality and related concerns.


I'm looking for a forum to discuss the immensely controversial topic of casino smoking, from a non-smoking perspective. Here on Yahoo Groups, there's "nonsmokingcasinos," which seems to have originated from Skip Hughes/vpmail, with a stated objective "to find non-smoking video poker locations and discussing and promoting the concept of (at the minimum) non-smoking sections in casinos everywhere or outright bans on smoking in casinos."


I don't know if the group was ever truly active, but at this point it has reverted to the wild, serving only to assist with your goal of earning $2000 daily as a webcam model.


Of course freevpfree is available, but that's basically a wastebasket.


Elsewhere on the www, the topic is mentioned occasionally on various discussion sites, but it's usually not entirely welcome. Can anyone suggest a venue where it is welcome?

[vpFREE] XVP -- Bad Beat Jackpot Near Miss

 

Hi Gang:
So I figured I'd sit in a 2-4 limit Hold 'Em game at Harrah's AC this morning to pass a little time while Hedy was getting her hair done at the Red Door. I get dealt a pair of nines and just call the minimum bet. The flop comes 9-6-6. I check in early position and the button bets. I call along with four other players. The turn is a blank. I check again and the button bets $4. Three players call and I raise to $8. The button makes it $12. Everyone else folds. I make it $16. He makes it $20. I call. At this point, I'm pretty sure he flopped four sixes and a nine on the river would give us the Bad Beat Jackpot which is over $500,000! The river is an 8! So close! I check. He bets $4. I call. He turns over pocket 6's, just as I thought. I turn over my cards and announce, "Four nines!" giving the other players at the table a heart attack. Then, they see there is only one nine on the board. After two more hands I pick up my chips with a $10 win and tell everyone, "I'm glad I brought a little excitement into your lives this morning." We all get a good laugh out of it and off I go to meet Hedy. 
Just another average morning!

I have not checked out SLS but $500,000 royal on 16-10 2's on $25 machine is unreal. $100,000 royal is normal. The casino is cowardly if they cut the pay table for that game. I have a saying: "The casino is too afraid to win". What are they afraid of? I'm sure they have the resources to handle the swings. Now another high-limit game will go unplayed.

IMO, there was clear informational value in Bob's posting that he was in the tournament.   If you're in the tournament, you are in a position to verify that the tournament was run as advertised.    


You might argue that an analysis doesn't depend on whether the tournament actually happened, but I'm going to be much more interested in an analysis if it applies to a real situation that either has happened or I think is about to happen.
