Things were sure a lot different on the strip back in 2002 and before. There were plays that match or beat the best of downtowns current plays all over. I wish I'd had more bankroll back then!
Anyway, I happened to take notes and a lot of pictures on a solo 2002 trip and I wrote it up. I stayed at the Westward Ho, the Imperial Palace, and Caesars, all for an average of $19 a night.
Warning... it contains a reproduction of the old Hard Rock Hotel 'We Sell Used Dice' topless billboard. So if you don't like that sort of thing, don't look.
