I played a VP tournament at PH about a year ago and the game was DDB (9/6 or 10/6, I don't recall) and the rounds were 10 or 15 minutes with unlimited hands. I advise playing fast and going for the high-value hands. You won't win a tournament going for inside straights. Hold your Ace(s) and anything that might become a Royal. Don't sweat the small stuff and hope for good deals. In short sessions, you are really at the mercy of the (pseudo)RNG. If you are driving, leave extra time to navigate the parking garage so you don't miss your session!

I am for the first time signed up for a Video Poker Tournament at Planet Hollywood later this month and was wondering if anyone can give me an idea what to expect as I have no clue.
What game is usually played, what's the best strategy, is it based on speed or number of hands, etc .etc.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
