I'm ok with the bigger bankroll and even playing -EV games. But I guess I just don't know enough about the better promotions. I have a nightmare of ending up with a bunch of gaudy jackpot jackets that I have to convert to cash :-)

You're not wrong that benefits are greatly curtailed for play on 100% machines at most casinos and especially at Stations. And there's a risk of getting permanently banned from all mailers/promotions/multipliers if you play only the good machines and/or win too much.

I believe that most successful vp players play sub-100% games and get slot club benefits that make up the difference, but that usually takes a bigger bankroll than playing 25c FPDW.
