Unlike some other folks, Hedy and I are not really overly concerned with our "national trip average."
We fiercely protect our trip average at our home property (Harrah's Atlantic City) but when we travel to other CET venues such as Vegas, New Orleans, Tunica etc. we don't really worry about our level of play. Sometimes we play a little, sometimes we play a lot ... whatever we're comfortable doing. That hasn't affected our offers at Harrah's AC, it seems, so we're OK with that methodology.
We still get decent mailings from these other properties (although not as juicy as they were in years past) so we pick and choose when we want to make a visit. It's just our way of doing things and has proved successful in the past.
