[vpFREE] Re: NCL Epic (NCL gambling....)

The design of the rooms (curves) and lack of a promenade deck is why the EPIC will be a one of a kind ship, which is very unusual. Normally they build at least 3-4 of each design. It will be an only child. They did a whole new design with the 3 Breakaway class ships.

We did 5 Europe NCL cruises in the past year and yes Europeans don't gamble on ships. There were almost zero gamblers on the 4 that were on smaller ships. One good side benefit though is you quickly become favored in the eye of the host and get great comps during and off your bill even if you don't gamble that much. The Epic Barcelona had many more, but not as many as when we did it in the Caribbean in March.

This was on the Caribbean cruise. When we were on the Epic last month for the cruise out of Barcelona I couldn't hit a thing. The casino was significantly less crowded on the European cruise and everything is still in dollars.
