Good article, but it implies that the lost 100% machines were replaced by
99.6 to 99.9 machines. Some of that while true, is missing a stat. Stations
also got rid of a ton of 99.6 to 99.9 machines , and lost whole optimum and
near-optimum banks at a time. The net-net of the whole inventory change is
probably a huge drop in VP EV. and since these banks have been 86'd, a
longer wait for the good machines as the "hog effect/ sorry machine reserved
for aunt vicky " is now more prevalent.
I have yet to find anybody who views the last 9 months of changes
"favorable". I have not heard anybody get more excited than a 5 second yawn
for the new "my poker " customizable, but poor pay schedules machines.
