I totally agree with you about NEVER tipping for anything under $1200.
One time I was at a casino that had 9/6 Bonus Deluxe at $1 single line and every time I got a quad, it was a hand pay.... for $400....
the first one, it took about 5 min to get paid... the second, about 10 min.... the 3rd took about 20 min.... I forget how many I got in about 1 - 2 hours, but I basically ended up tying up 2-3 of the 4 machines because the slot person for my area pretty much refused to pay me at all. So I stopped playing and waited to get paid and left that casino.
I did track the person down and demanded to talk to the floor manager about the ridiculous situation the did not need to be.
Also, if I would have hit a royal, I would have been more generous about that tip, feeling somewhat guilty about not tipping for the quads.
