Looks like Harrah's NOLA will serve up a peek at thef new WMS machines in about a month's time (regulatory approval, pending).
The NOLA main floor vp area got a major makeover this week (HL area is unchanged). Older slant tops (former coin droppers retrofitted for TITO) have been removed from the floor. This includes the 3 $1/$2/$5 9/6 JBs, along with the $1 NSUD.
A large number of uprights have been added to the area. Most notable, is that the 3 standalone slant top $1 9/6 DDB progs have been replaced with an equivalent carousel of 3 linked progressives.
Other than that, best game to be found seemed to be 9/5 JB.
Two banks of new WMS machines are also added to the floor, but currently configured as video slots. Word was that NOLA is waiting for regulatory approval to install vp.
As discussed in this thread, these machines will feature the "My Life" platform that will enable players to store personal game configurations (I suspect "personalized" paytables isn't an option ;), and track play statistics online, among other features.
I remain hopeful re paytables on the new machines, but likely license fees pose a strong headwind against something attractive.
