Re: [vpFREE] Harry's Comment About Reno

I've had exactly the same experience. I'm now Gold with less than 200 points from very small play at Tahoe in Jan., and I was Gold all of 2011. Yet all of my stays at Harrahs Reno thru May of this year have been comped, and I even made a res. in 2013 that's comped for 3 nights. I used to play fairly heavy at Reno, but that stopped in 2010. They must hold a grudge.

Atlantis Reno can't seem to let go either. I still get comped night offers there though not on weekends too like at Harrahs, and they always throw in token freeplay. So I agree, if anyone is putting in play at these places just for the free rooms, you're most likely over-doing it by a factor of 10. Go over to the Peppermill if you like to play a lot and always wonder why their offers don't seem up to snuff.

If you are maintaining your Diamond status to get free rooms in Reno, you may be overplaying. For the last three years I have been getting free room offers (2 nights anytime) at Harrah's Reno. The funny thing is that I have never put my card in Harrah's Reno - ever. I have maintained Gold status during this time period and only play about three times a year at Harvey's Lake Tahoe. I currently have a tier score of under 500 points. Just for fun, I checked to see about a four night visit at Harrah's Reno and it came back all comp. As a disclaimer, this is just my expierence and someone else may have different results.
