This was the first time I played at Palace Station. I had however played at Aliante Station during my previous trip, a few months prior. I actually gave Aliante some pretty extensive play, both at the tables as well as VP. They ended up assigning me to a host on my 2nd day.
As far as free airfare at Station is concerned, I don't think that that's their thing as they're more geared towards the "local" crowd and not the typical "high-roller" that the bigger, higher budget Strip casinos try to attract. Also, Air Fare Reimbursement is probably the Highest form of Comp that a casino can offer, as it's an actual "tangible/hard" comp with a really $$$ cost attached to it. Therefore, it is the hardest to get. Other more experienced folks on these boards may chime in.
As an example, during my last trip I stayed at a higher end casino on the strip. I was w/ a friend who was giving the casino a LOT of action - pretty high-end (six figures). As the trip was coming to an end, he inquired w/ his host about airfare and was denied.
Back to Palace Station -- last time I played $25 BJ for a couple of hours and ran about 2 hours at a $1 Full Pay Bonus Deluxe machine, at about 500 hands per hour.. +/-. Btw, my VP session was a loser as Bonus Deluxe is horrendous if you don't catch quads, while I turned a small profit at BJ.
