About a year and half ago (give or take) I decided I wanted to round out my poker skills with other types of poker, so I started playing Ohama H/L. The problem is even through I play as much Hold'em as I do Ohama H/L, I notice I went from finishing in the money 80% (15% being on the final table)of the time in the Hold'em tournments I play to finishing in the money about 40% (5% being on the final table) of the time. The flip side to this is I went from never finishing in the money , to finishing in the money 60% (20% being in the top 5)of the time in the Ohama H/L tournments I play. Hold'em and Ohama H/L are two totally different games, that require two totally different playing styles, but it Seems the better I get at Ohama H/L the worse I get at Hold'em. What the heck is going on? Any advice would be grateful as I would hate to have to quit playing one (Ohama H/L) to get my skills back in the other (Hold'em). Or should I just claim it as running card dead or catching cold cards.
Thanks,
James
