[vpFREE] more re Escape to Rewards Harrah's contest

To find the game, log into caesars.com and look lower down on the screen
where it shows several different items such as Margaritaville and other
things, and you can use arrows to bring out the small Escape logo, click on it
to bring up the game. (Sometimes the game or these items will be in the
larger screen).

I looked more at the rules and so on, and supposedly 1 out of 2 game
entries brings up a game piece, but my husband and I each had 10 codes last
night and only got 1 game piece. I checked today, and the various Facebook
pages for different Harrah's properties had new codes, so these may change
daily, giving you enough codes to get 10 entries (your limit) per day.

On the other hand, there are 48 game squares on the grid to fill -- if you
were to enter 10 codes a day for 90 days (the contest time) and got 1
square a day, you'd get 90 squares in 90 days. But -- some of the squares are
"unique" and some are not - and it seems like you'd easily end up getting
some of the same squares over and over and maybe not the unique squares and
would have a hard time filling the 48 different squares even if you had
gotten 90 or 90+ actual squares.

Also, you get codes for playing at Harrah's properties or getting a point
for paying for restaurants and so on. But these codes only show up once a
month, April 9, May 9, and June 9 -- and once you get these codes, you still
are limited by entering 10 a day.

On top of that, if you win some of the instant prizes, like $10 or $15 or
$20 credits toward various "Marketplace" stores, like Best Buy and so on -
in some instances (according to the complicated rules) you have to use these
within 3 days or maybe 10 days (it varies).

The rules are sooooo darn complicated it seems the dumbest contest ever.

A contest is supposed to make you LIKE something more than you did before.
But in this case after a couple days it is already leaving a bad taste in
my mouth. When a contest ends up making you dislike the goods being
promoted (in this case Harrah's/Caesar's) rather than like them, when you try to
play, it is bad marketing.

And I doubt that Harrah's will give away nearly the amount they are saying
they will in the end.

Also, the Grand Prizes may not be worth taking, except for the cash. For
example the main grand prize has a "value" of $50,000 - taking a special jet
with 4 friends to a Harrah's property. But you would have to declare
$50,000 on your tax return, and maybe pay 20% of it in IRS income tax! Hardly
worthwhile for what is essentially just a trip to a Harrah's property.
You can take Cash instead -- but only $10,000 (not $50,000) -- still that
would seem like the better option.

So should anyone win a prize, my advice is to check the rules (posted
online) for the fine print before using/accepting said prize.
