I haven't seen anyone from that thread offer tax return advice, but one certainly can't go wrong having a professional prepare them. My returns have never been on the simple side, but I've never used anyone to prepare them because I've always believed that in an audit, no one is better qualified to discuss your situation than you. And it has proven to be quite an advantage.

Our taxes are prepared by an enrolled agent who is experienced with preparing returns for gamblers. We take our advice from him. It is well worth the cost, which was less than we thought it would be.
If you are reading the thread "Always play full coin," well,do you really want to take tax advice from some of these folks?
