[vpFREE] Re: Need help finding video poker software

Bob,
Thanks for info. Sad to hear about Mike. Hopefully someone (Ernie) still
has access to the source code? I am sure that someone in the future will
be able to update it when the time/money is right.
My understanding is that the expected return on the normal Super Times
Pay is plus .5 as you mentioned. So 9/6 JoB would be 0.998204 however
Double Super Times Pay is 100.05%.

As Rick wrote, I too understand that the strategy does not change but
what's not clear to me is the standard deviation number for STP or DSTP.
I understand stand normal 9/6 Jacks or Better to have a SD of 4.43.

The same link above sheds some light...it states:Volatility- Based on
the actual multiplier probabilities, the Super Times Pay feature
increases the standard deviation by 51%, compared to not paying for it.
Can someone translate that for me into an actual number?
Even then it's only for STP and I would still like to know what the SD
for DSTP is. This is ideally why i was looking for software so that i
could just run a bunch of simulations so I knew how much bankroll was
necessary but just know the proper SD would help a bunch.
Thanks everyone!!

different than regular Super Times Pay. Or is that public knowledge
that I just haven't noticed?> > > > ________________________________>

that I'd like to see on a new version of Video Poker for Winners.
Unfortunately Mike Wood --- the mathematician behind VPW --- passed away
not so long ago. He was one of Ernie Moody's best friends. Ernie (the
financial backer behind the software) hasn't felt inclined to go ahead
with another version. Insofar as Double Super Times Pay specifically,
the game can be analyzed completely by treating it as regular
5-coin-per-line game and adding a half-percent to the return. None of
the plays change when you go from regular pay schedules to DSTP pay
schedules. Bob> > > .> > > > [Non-text portions of this message have
