As someone who's been to the Silverton 6 times in the past 4 months, I find their Twin Creeks steakhouse to be far above average, their Mexican restaurant makes the best tableside guacamole I've had, the "coffee shop" has a large menu with a very friendly staff, and their video poker better than most since many machines include the superior game of SDBP. Plus, when there's handpays involved they never foolishly give the last hundred in 20's (even though I don't tip either way).
If Maine follows this model you'll have a fine place to visit.

I'm a local who plays regularly at the Silverton. Straub4 already gave you some good feedback. I would like to add that I find all the personnel to be very friendly. And they have lots of promotions. Some are better than others. Their video poker is weak but the promotions and slot club benefits make up for it.
There's a lot of info on their website about their promotions and everything else available there.
It will be interesting to see how strongly they market the Maine casino since the location sounds remote and there doesn't seem to be much competition.
