I received the following email with a request to post it. In my opinion, vpFREE is a good place for this posting. My assumption is the information contained is accurate, but I cannot speak to that from personal experience.

I spent the night at Mohegan Sun July 31 and was shocked to see many of the quarter J or B machines pay schedules lowered to 7/5. I even found numerous dollar machines with a 7/5 pay schedule. Mohegan Sun has played games with customers for so time, ex. 9/6 dollar J or B only paying full bonus on a royal with maximum of 25 coins played , five coins gets you $1500.00 on a royal instead of $ 4000.00.
Yesterday, Aug 1, I was playing a 25 cent J or B machine that to my amazement played 9/6. I played over two hours at the maxim of 25 coins, $6.25 a hand before realizing that the machine and others in a row had been posted in with very small print " Machine doesn't pay points " This was done with a labeling machine and placed in an obscure part of the outside of the machine to make it difficult to see. The bar tenders did not know anything about the machines and the apparent change in paying points. The slot floor manager was not aware as well. I spoke to a host, who made a call and was told this was done because video poker players had a hand in determining the outcome of the game. In conclusion, I played two hours of maxim betting and did not receive a point. Today is double points day. I wonder how many machines are posted like this and how many unsuspecting customers are being taken advantage of ?
I plan on complaining to management, but don't expect to get too far. Mohegan Sun was know for decent pay schedules in the past, Foxwoods was not as good. I will not play 7/5 machines and I'm considering my options on gambling in Ct. Please post this email so your fans and other players are aware.
Incidentally, this had a happy outcome. I spent an hour complaining to the hosts and other employees instead of playing J or B. I put a $100 in a 9/5 DDB and hit a Heart Royal Flush for $ 4000.00 just before leaving, some satisfaction anyway.
