I would have read the complete rules to make sure I was in compliance, then inquired about not winning. But of course they aren't likely to admit something went wrong.

I think my sometimes-math-challenged-mind can handle this one:

Assuming true randomness (no favoritism for players on 90% reel slots, for example) and only active machines being included, then each minute, 1/number-of-active-machines is the probability of your winning freeplay that minute.

Since you played for 5 hours, 300/average-number-of-active-machines was your expectation of getting freeplay for your entire playing session. But we all know short-term volatility swamps expectation. And 5 hours is undeniably short-term.

And if there is favoritism for 90% reel slots (for example), and/or inactive machines can also be chosen each minute, then your chance of being selected for freeplay was even lower.

As a tourist, the last time I was in town I remember playing during a similar promotion at Station Casinos. I assume every machine across all Station Casinos was included, so I wasn't just "fighting" the other people at the casino I was at, I was "fighting" every player at every Station Casino in town. I played for around 4 hours, but didn't get any freeplay.

Also, I was present once when the "jumbo jackpot" was hit, so I got the freeplay awarded to all the "losers". You locals may have seen it a hundred times, but it was a unique experience for me :)
