There are places on the strip where major car rental companies have set ups. From my experience it will cost more to rent it on the strip. ON the other hand, I have rented at the airport for the first few days we were staying off the strip and then turned it in at Treasure Island (forget which company) when we got to the strip for the rest of the week and it was the same rate as though I had picked up and dropped it off at the airport.

I'm not planning on getting a car the first couple of days at CP.....when I do rent the car, do I have to use the airport car center, or can I rent locally, with the dual objective of saving $ and avoiding a trip to the rental center.....? Does CP have a shuttle to the rental center or to the airport?
