the EV is unaffected. the variance is very slightly lowered compared
to normal triple play.
suppose you draw to Ad Kd Jd Td. you have no chance to hit multiple
royals by drawing the Qd on two or three lines. but you also have no
chance to miss on multiple lines by drawing, say, the 5s on two or
three of them. your chances of hitting exactly one royal are slightly
increased.
