From what I've seen, in Class III Indian casinos in California, it has to be fair. The majority of machines are IGT, first of all, and there's just no incentive for them to "rig" anything. Of course, some places might have their slots set to very big holds, but they're not "rigged". And for video poker, what you see is what you get, regarding the visible pay table.

What denomination are you playing? If you're playing for dollars, then being down $5200 is nothing. If playing for quarters, then you've had bad luck, but $45K worth of quarter play is not a big sample, and not surprising either way that you have not had a royal yet.
If you're in the Southern Calif. area, I would say you can rest assured the machines are legit.
Maybe you should call Frank up on the show tonight and give him a piece of your mind. Maybe his comment jinxed you. lol
