Poker Poker Poker!: [vpFREE] re Gold Coast mailers

I finally got through to Jenn Yee, head of Gold Coast club and was told that
the new mailers definitely are for coin-in (not points). The new B mailer
is pretty much the equivalent of the old A mailer, and takes $27,000 coin in
per month.

This is effectively more than doubling the play needed for the same mailer.

Ms. Yee didn't seem to get it when I complained that I wasn't going to
double or triple my play for the same mailer, and that I would stop playing at the
GC as a result. She kept saying under the new system you would "get points
faster". She didn't seem to 'get it' that getting about $3 extra per month
in cashback (if say you used to put in $11000 coin out and now only $10000
coin in, assuming you had lost 10%) was not worth losing a mailer that gave
about $50-75 in cashback and $50 in food (or more).

My advice if you are a Coast player whose mailers suddenly tank is to
complain.

Here's how: Fill out "complaint forms" at the coast desk. (Ms. Yee seemed
to indicate these do have some weight). More importantly, write letters or
phone.

Somehow I think if she gets phone calls from more than one person, (me),
this could be helpful.

Presumably the new coin-in levels for mailers is going to affect all the
Coast casinos, so even if you are currently not affected (apparently Suncoast
mailers were the same), you should still start complaining before it is too
late.

Locals may well find they are better off to switch over to play elsewhere,
including places like Wynn and Venetian which have extra "locals" coupons or
free play mailings and do have 9/6 JB.

I'm very disappointed with the Gold Coast, and also with the fact that Ms.
Yee didn't seem to "get it" even though she kept saying "I understand" since
she also kept saying, "but you'll get points faster."

We live close to the GC and love the buffet and like to go there, but
without a mailer our play will vanish quickly.
